Margarita Aleksanyan, DDS, AAACD
Dr. Maggie (as her patients call her) earned her DDS degree in 2007, graduating first in her class from the University of Colorado. She opened her own practice, Guaranteed Smiles, in 2008 and spent the next decade honing her craft. In 2018, Dr. Maggie became one of only two practicing dentists along the Front Range to achieve Accreditation with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (What is AAACD?). In addition to her membership in this elite group, Dr. Maggie has been published in The Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry and she periodically returns to her alma mater, the University of Colorado, as a guest lecturer. She stays current in the field of cosmetic dentistry by completing a variety of state-of-the-art continuing education courses each year, including a recent advanced cosmetic course taught by “The Godfather of Biomimetic Dentistry” Dr. Pascal Magne.
Dr. Maggie’s Road to Dentistry
Dr. Maggie was born in Armenia in 1980. Her father was an engineer and her mother was a dentist. At an early age, Dr. Maggie became fascinated with the way that her mother cared for her patients. When allowed to tag along for the day, Dr. Maggie eagerly watched and learned as her mother eased her patient’s pain and created beautiful smiles with precision and care. Everyone seemed to enjoy coming to see her mother (which is no small feat for a dental practice!) and she clearly took pride in making a positive change in her patient’s lives. It was in that small dental office in Armenia when Dr. Maggie first realized that she wanted to be like her mom. She was to become a dentist.
Looking back, it’s clear that these early memories continue to drive Dr. Maggie’s passion for dentistry. The ability to relieve a patient’s pain or to help them find their perfect smile warms her heart and fuels her desire to be one of the best dentists in Colorado. Dr. Maggie truly believes that a person’s smile is their calling card. Your smile is one of the first things that people notice about you and it often shapes their perceptions and opinions of you moving forward. She believes that great smiles empower people and she summarizes this with one simple moto: Improve Your Smile. Improve Your Life.
Today, Dr. Maggie and the rest of her team practice what they preach at Designer Smiles of Colorado. They are one of only two dental offices along Colorado’s Front Range that offer a full line of dental services that includes both general dentistry and AAACD quality cosmetic dentistry and they do it in a warm and caring environment that truly makes patients want to come into the office. Dr. Maggie not only inherited her mother’s warm heart and bright smile but she also inherited her belief that patients are family and every single one of them deserve the very best.
