The Modern WayTo Fix Your Smile
At Designer Smiles of Colorado, we want you to really feel good about your smile. That’s why Dr. Maggie Aleksanyan features Invisalign, the professional teeth straightening system that’s faster, more convenient, and a lot less noticeable than regular metal braces.
Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners to gradually reposition your teeth, giving you the smile you really want. Your overall treatment time is typically much shorter with Invisalign than with metal braces. In fact, you can fix your smile up to two times faster with Invisalign.
Invisalign Versus Traditional Metal Braces
Invisalign is a comprehensive solution that can be used to correct almost any type of malocclusion (bite issue) that metal braces treat, including overcrowding, crossbite, overbite, underbite, open bite, and spacing. Invisalign offers unique benefits that can’t be matched by any other treatment:
- Removable, so you can eat what you want – With metal braces, you need to watch your diet because certain foods can get stuck in the brackets and wires. Invisalign aligners are removable, allowing you to eat and drink as you please. Once you’re finished, simply brush your teeth and reinsert your aligners.
- Safe & Comfortable – Enjoy a mouth that’s free from scratches and cuts. Invisalign aligners are made from their patented SmartTrack® material that’s gentle on your smile.
- Unparalleled Precision – Your Invisalign treatment is custom-made to guide your teeth on the path to perfection. And thanks to our digital technology, we can show you how your new smile will look before your treatment even begins.
- Clear – Our Invisalign trays are practically invisible, so you won’t feel self-conscious about smiling when you’re with friends.
- Fewer Appointments – Unlike metal braces, Invisalign aligners never need tightening. That means you’ll be spending less time in our office and more time doing what you want to do.
The Invisalign Process
- Your Consultation: The first step on your road to a beautiful new smile is your consultation with Dr. Maggie. She’ll examine your smile and review your treatment options. If you choose Invisalign, we can get started right away.
- Planning Your Treatment: Once you and Dr. Maggie decide Invisalign is right for you, we’ll begin the process by taking a complete digital impression of your smile. Dr. Maggie will use this information to create your treatment plan.
- Your Aligners: As soon as your treatment plan is in place, Invisalign will send you the first set of custom-fitted aligners. They’re designed to gently shift your teeth to the correct alignment. Dr. Maggie recommends wearing your aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day.
- Your Progress: You’ll visit Dr. Maggie every four weeks or so, allowing her to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.
- Your New Smile: Before you know it, you’ll be ready to share your beautiful new smile with the world. Straightening your smile with Invisalign will also improve your oral health.

Frequently Asked Questions
Invisalign treatment typically takes 12 months, however, the duration of the treatment depends on your specific needs. For a more personalized estimate of time, we recommend scheduling a consultation with Dr. Maggie where you’ll discuss your smile goals. She’ll examine your oral health to create a customized treatment plan which will include a more accurate timeframe.
Invisalign aligners are easy to care for. Here are some tips to help you care for your aligners:
- Rinse your aligners and your teeth before reinserting the trays
- Soak your Invisalign once a day
- Brush your teeth and your aligners in the morning
- Place your aligners in a protective case when you’re not wearing them
- Don’t let the trays come into contact with hot water or heat
While Invisalign treatment requires little maintenance, following the above-mentioned guidelines will ensure you avoid damaging your trays and get the most out of your treatment.
If you’re interested in straightening your teeth discreetly, Invisalign may be right for you. Invisalign can correct mild to moderate misalignment issues without changing your appearance or your lifestyle.
If you’re interested in learning more about Invisalign, schedule a consultation with Dr. Maggie by calling (303) 703-4544. During the consultation, you’ll discuss your smile goals and Dr. Maggie will examine your oral health and create a customized treatment plan to fit your needs.
If you lose, break, or damage an aligner, be sure to contact our office immediately by calling (303) 703-4544. We’ll contact the lab to order you a replacement set so you can stay on track with your treatment plan.
In the meantime, you can use your previous set of aligners to ensure your teeth aren’t shifting out of place. Don’t try to fix the aligners at home, as this typically doesn’t work and may only set you back on your projected treatment time.
